No wonder I have such a hard time teaching my child division! Thanks for the insight. It is amazing that it took that long for the collective human species to harness the power of O. To us dividing 5 Teslas with zero Teslas seems imaginable. You get nada, zilch, a big fat 0. But to our ancestors, nothing was inconceivable. Take for example the color Blue. Ask any kid knows what the color of the sky is. And they will automatically say blue even though it is night. And, we take that as a good answer. Before color photography, they would say the color of the sky was nothing. The key is "good" not the answer. What we value as a collective society drives our beliefs until they are challenged. Like Galileo or Jesus, they are met with much resistance. We are met with blue skies and green grasses constantly on our screens even though it’s not always true. The same for zero to the Sumerians.

.

Zero is the one of two bookends of numbers. Connected with infinity, the number becomes a circle. A circle is a powerful tool and word. Black magic is centered around the circle literally. But ask the computer to divide zero, it will literally freak because it becomes Ouroboros or a paradox.

.

I think humans have brains that can handle paradox. That is why computers built by human hands cannot handle paradox. Humans have to teach zeros and 1s the impossible. That is the power of the human imagination. No other creature great or small can dream up a cure to SARS-COV2. Only humans can dream up organized relives. Animals live in zero. The opposite of zero is a singularity like a black hole.

.

Humans can know zero and black holes. Our imagination is limitless. Zero is like nuclear fusion. It creates more than what is put in. Everything under God has a yin, yang and a balance point. If humans can discover the fulcrum of numbers, it can launch rockets to Mars. It can experience God as a singularity or as a bunch of zeroes.

.

It begs the question if there is God. Just like numbers, zero was there along with the idea of something higher than ourselves. When did the human race invent infinite? If numbers is a circle and infinity lies in a pi, then what is the opposite of eternal? Is it finite or something else? I think the something else is the Divine.

.

It's tragically ironic we let O & 1 take away millennia of hard-won humanity by marketers monitoring consumers for what is hot. Then feeding them their binary dreams in a sick regurgitation of Big Data.

.

Cowboys understood zero. Jesus understood nothing. Buddha thought it was all empty. Lao Tzu saw in B&W. Empty was all there was in the beginning till we harnessed O. Now there is 2much nothingness clutching our smartphones. It's like we forgot 2b in awe of numbers and human sense &ingenuity as we become enslaved 2the algorithm, metrics, surveys and polls. We've allowed the Terminator 2enter through Netflix. We think it. We dream it. We consume I.T. We become I.T.

.

Creating A.I would require teaching a computer Y Trump was elected. It would require all the power of quantum computing 2caluclate why smart humans put cave-men dumber than caven-men 2the Oval Office. Like any civilization, we are entering a Dark Ages where we forgot whose shoulders we stood on. It's like letting Prometheus play with matches while Democracy turns on the propane tank with an I.T. , I.O.T. Nest device while a chimp is running America 2zeroes. Big brother is watching your zeroes, ones and cents.

.

Let's find a way to put zero back on the pedestal before younger generations take O for granted and misused its power time until eternity..
