A:"It is true that we are not necessarily born with mental illnesses and that we can gain such mental illnesses from various external factors within our society"...:
.
I have to disagree with you with your opinion that "we are not necessarily born with mental illness", and we accrue mental baggage over our lifetime. If you are a parent, you know experientially, not a priori, kids are crazy. All animals are born crazy; to assume otherwise is crazy hubris. All eukaryotes under God R born crazy, we act normal in the mainstream 2get bye. We die muttering & peeing in our pants like an insane, wrinkly, petulant child. The only difference is that geezers have no humility 2cry out 4 their pappa.
.
If we are born sane, by your proposition, then some become crazy bc of the rat race or wicked nurture; doesn't that give u.s. the right to make our own personal choices as a person who has mad Faith 2find the "cure" for their mental illness? Plz clarify your opinion, Thanks.
.
A: "I would say that say that we should interfere between their beliefs at the point where they might cause more harm than good for themselves."
.
The question of intervention is a delicate 1 not 2 be tread lightly like the ethics of euthanasia. People high on LSD rarely feel hate bc objectification's walls come tumbling down like Jericho. They R filled with reunion & 1ness for their brothers & sisters. They walk the halls of the mental wards like Jesus 2 Lazarus & the blameless schizos climbing trees, BP, BPD, OCD & epileptics. How is that ivory tower doing with respect 2 respecting crazy beliefs?
.
We can only "cure" the crazy when the curer becomes cured of objectification without compassion and let go of normalcy as a norm as Hopis & Hindue know in every cell & neuron. If the medical schools churn out mindless drones with guidelines, ask yourself how far that shrink is from how Mr. Rogers or Jesus. Would you talk to an unstable person like Fred or JC or as an MD with 2 many PhDs? Buber was right about U.S. & Them & I.T
